Our stake ham group is planning on doing a field day on the fourth full weekend in June when many clubs do their field days to try and get some more interest. We are looking at possibly doing it for the afternoon and early evening of the Saturday and not the full 24 hours because frankly, no one wants to sit out there that long. Is anyone else planning on doing a field day in June?

I am planning on getting together with people form the ARES district I am a part of as well as some members from my stake and others that are also memebers. We are planning some activities around Elizabeth, CO. I am hoping to see how guys are using solar power to run their rigs. I may even have my own solar option going by then.
Our Tulare County Amatuer Radio club will doing fieldday one group at 7,000ft in the Sierria Nevada above Porterville, California, another group on the central valley floor.I am also going to be doing an Ham contact event on Friday night May 16th from the Porterville , Ca. during our Father and Son Priesthood Commeroration outing. HF 40 meters, 7225 frqz, at 9:30 to 10:00 pacific time. pass this on. I am trying to get others in our area to do the same. We could start a LDS Father and Son yearly event for EMC practice region to region.
