During the Lakewood Stake Net held March 25th, the question of the night was: Are you interested in doing a Meet and Greet to assemble self made J-Pole or other design antennas for use at home to augment the typical rubber duck antennas most people are using. This is proposed for 28APR2007 with a time to be determined. If you are planning on joining us, please stay in touch using this post or call one of us.First question will be... What kind of connector do you have on your radio? If you are not sure, review the connectors on this post from the Antenna board on this site. The second question is ... What kind of antenna do you want to build? The easiest two are the 1/4 wave groundplane vertical and the dual band (or single 2M if you like,) Vertical J-Pole. Read the articles listed from this other post, again on this site, to help you decide. If you don't want to supply your own materials, let us know what you need, or at the very least, the answers to the two questions above and we'll help you out.I will be reserving a room at the Stake center for 10AM through Noon. Please let others know about this site and at the very least, this post, so we can get organized. We'll probably need to purchase the needed materials on April 21st, so time is passing quick. Please feel free to call me with any questions!Rob WB7SGL 720-225-9430
