That's a great document Marty! Here's something I picked out that is just stellar (hopefully someone will benefit from it here...):The Survival Mnemonic The word ‘survival’ is an aid to what you should do. You must memorize what each letter signifies and remember that some day you may have to make it work for you. It is a good tool for helping you focus and avoid immediate panic.

S	Size up the situation
U	Undue haste makes waste
R	Remember where you are
V	Vanquish fear and panic
I	Improvise
V	Value living
A	Act like the locals
L	Lean on your basic skills

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR SURVIVAL There are four basic requirements for survival; they are –

1. Water

2. Shelter

3. Warmth

4. Food

These are great docs! Thanks to both of you. I personally put these types of docs and pdfs on my thumb drive which goes into my 72-hour/bug-out-bag. I also have a small EeePC that goes with it. If in the event that I need to refer to something, I bring it up with that laptop. I also pack a laptop solar charger in case I cannot readily find power to recharge the laptop.I will be putting a "greatest hits" book together using lulu.com that will include points and material from these two documents.
