We had a successful ERC test on our net July 5, 2009, at the request of the Area Authority, 12 of 13 unit leaders were able to communicate with the Stake leadership through ham radio. This test will be repeated in the Huntsville Alabama Stake on a regular basis. Shows that it can be done.

This is fantastic news! Congratulations to all who contributed to the success!!! The more we succeed at events like this, the better we will become. We had a communications test in our stake recently and the results were not as favorable, but every failure holds opportunities to learn.Congrats again!
Our next test of getting ward eclesiastical leaders together with stake eclesiastical leaders was on April 10, 2011 at 8:45pm Central time. Access repeater through echolink node W4TCL. This net will probably last an hour to get everyone checked in and to give comments, but we did the business with unit decision makers first and had them on their way in 15 minutes. We also were able to get the Alabama Birmingham Mission President into the net via Echolink. We have to learn to be emergency communicators not just emergency Ham Radio Operators.You are welcome to check into our stake net anytime.
