So, last weeks net was interesting to say the least. We experienced some intermod from a neighboring area performing a net, aparently.Which raised the possibility of having a backup frequency for use in the event that our primary frequency of 147.585Mhz Simplex, is not available due to emergency or other traffic. What's your take on the subject? Also, in the event of an emergency, we should have a standard policy on how to respond. It may be most appropriate to have the Lakewood stake traffic continue on 147.585Mhz Simplex with the Lakewood ERC handling the cross traffic to the Storehouse on 147.495Mhz. This would help keep the Storehouse frequency clear of localized issues while providing an integral uplink of vital information to them via the ERC location. The ERC location for the Lakewood Stake is the Lakewood Stake Center. In the event that it cannot be used for whatever reason, the follow up location is the Stake President's residence. Which raises two questions... 1) Do we have an appropriate antenna at the Stake Center (either mounted or one that can be erected)?2) Is there an antenna available for use at the Stake President's residence? If you have any other items related to this post please follow up with a reply and if you have any input on the above, please reply.
