The Lakewood Stake held the weekly Net on April 8th at 2000MST on 147.585 Mhz Simplex.Net Control was performed by WB7SGL (Rob)There were 11 Hams checking in: * KC0VTU Brant * KC0ZQJ Alma * KC0ZQL Connor W/Traffic * KC0ZQO John * KC0ZQR Joe * KC0ZQS Dave * KC0CLK Kyle * KC0ZQU Jens * KC0ZQW Keith * KC0ZQY Janine * KC0ZXJ CurtConnor brought up the following traffic; The Cub scouts are attending Day Camp up at Ellsworth Park on June 25, 26 and 27th. They would like to have a Ham come up and expose the kids to the hobby allowing them to talk to others in town.Kyle recommended that Connor coordinate with other stations in town to be prepared to chat with the youngsters.Alma advised that he would be available from town to QSO with them.Brant additionally brought up that they were able to connect two 2m Antennas in phase from the top of the silo's at the storehouse and using the 50W mobile rig, he was able to communicate with Cheyenne Wyoming. We are hoping to be able to do 2way FM to Cheyenne in the future in the event that there is a need.The question of the night was:Can you pronounce your call sign and first name phonetically?This website (http://www.ldshams.com) was mentioned again with emphasis put on updating this thread. If anyone on the net was planning on attending the Meet and Greet and needs someone to provide the materials, we need to know what to provide.The Net was concluded at 2020MST.
