Local testing

I am looking at getting my license.  Anyone know where there is a comprehensive listing of testing locations and dates?I live in the Tooele, Utah valley, however, Salt Lake and Provo would be easy enough to get to.

Welcome to the site!You can find local testing locations using the ARRL and W5YI websites:http://www.arrl.org/find-an-amateur-radio-license-exam-session http://www.w5yi.org/exam_locations_ama.phpThe structure for the test is prescribed by the FCC, ARRL and W5YI both adhere to the FCC requirements so taking the test from either is the equivalent of the other and both are recognized equally by the FCC. If you use the study guides from one or the other you will find the same content from an technical perspective but written in 'different voices' / 'different perspectives' in my opinion. You could also look to see if there is a Laurel VE team somewhere near there. The testing is free through them and the call sign return is usually within 24-48 hours.
