Please Use *LDSHAMS* for Echolink Nets

I have set up an Echolink Conf. *LDSHAMS* (not related to this website) for LDS Hams to use.  I already have had 4-5 nets using it in the past.  Due to a Job/move to Las Vegas I have not been very active at keeping *LDSHAMS* up and running over the last two years – but I think I have got it running now 24/7 – so please use it!!! – Email me for time slots – – Sunday seems to be the busy time – but you can join other nets as well – that was my plan from the beginning.  I have also had Special Event Nets in the past and am trying to get a First Fri. Hi Jay,Thanks for the information!If you have time, would you like to write a technical article in the technical section about using an echolink node?I know quite a few hams who've joined this site that are new and I believe it would help a lot.

Hi Jay,The Glendora Emergency Response Communications  Net is looking forward to connecting up to your LDSHAMS conference each Tuesday evening at 2030 hrs Pacific Time beginning on February 1, 2011. In response to the prospective Ham Operator that wants to hook up with echolink…Requirement #1 You must be licensed meaning you took a test from the FCC and passed atleast the technician class test. There are many studyguides to prepare for the test and QRZ.com has practice tests…Step 2,,,After getting your license issued to you via the ULS at FCC, you go to Echolink website and download the program,,,,Step 3….You must validate your license with echolink by scanning your license and sending them a scanned copy….Step 4….Check your email for notification and then open up your downloaded program on your computer,,, I reccomend that you connect using a headset only at first,,,later on connect your radio ….the program will allow you to search the world over and connect to other hams,,,,Word of Caution…you must talk as if you are on a radio…FCC Rules apply,,,and allow at least 2 seconds to speak to compensate for the time it takes to relay your message
